Urban Screen Spotlight

Write for us

We welcome considered pitches about the screens, images and display choices that shape urban places. Send proposals through the Contact page, with a clear subject and an explanation of why it matters to a curious general reader.

Ideas that fit

Strong proposals focus on one question about an urban screen or viewing setting: how a format works, how a display meets its surroundings, what a visual choice makes noticeable, or how a form has changed over time. We favour evergreen subjects that can be explained without relying on unsupported claims or a particular city’s rules.

What to include

Tell us the proposed angle, the main point readers should take away and the shape of the piece. Mention relevant experience or material you can draw on, but do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share. A concise proposal is more useful than a finished draft sent without context.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title and a short outline, and say whether the idea is a reported piece, an explanation, a comparison or another form. A proposal is not a promise of publication; we will consider its fit, clarity and usefulness.
